Suggestions? Signature maybe?

After feeling totally stuffed on the DDP on our recent July trip, we are making our plans for December. Now, we do love the simplicity and convenience of having it all paid for, so I'm pretty sure we will do it again, but we would like to mix it up a little.

One thing we know, is that we don't necessarily want an ADR for a big meal every day, so we thought adding a signature or two to our agenda would offset that overly full feeling we want to avoid. We will be at BWV 12/23-1/1, and this is what I have so far...

Cape May (D)
Yachtsman (D)
Rose & Crown (D)
'Ohana (D)
Sci-Fi (D)
Le Cellier (L)

So...I have 2 credits left to work with. Would love to add another signature, but which one?

I'm game to try most anything and love the opportunity vacation gives us to try something new.

DH has very simple taste...meat and potatoes kind of guy. Reluctant to try new things.

DS18, better than DH, will try new things, likes to keep it healthy (runner), loves pasta. Enjoys a steak on occasion, but actually ordered chicken Caesar salad at Le Cellier.

DD14 enjoys shrimp and lobster, a good steak, really just about anything you put in front of her she will try. Often plays it safe with her order, but samples others to try new things.

So, DIS foodies, what would be a good fit for this group?

Well, you already have the Yachtsman which should cater to DH's tastes (we love the food and the service there).

For your family I would suggest Narcoossee's or Flying Fish. Both have great seafood and some adventuress choices but both also offer great steak dinners. Narcoossee's always has lobster on the menu but FF is just a walk out the door if you're staying at the BWV's. You can't go wrong with either.

Flying Fish. I haven't been there yet, but I've heard that not only do they have great seafood, but a great steak too!

Citricos or Cali Grill. Your hubby can get a filet in Cali and you can try everything else lol. In Citricos-which I recommend first, he can get the braised short ribs or the veal shank and will be quite satisfied with either. The service is outstanding, the atmosphere is beautiful and the food is spot on awesome. :)

I would go with either Jiko and spend some time at AKL or Flying Fish since you'll be at the Boardwalk anyway. Both restaurants are very good and both have menus that should satisfy everyone in your family.

If the menu at Jiko doesn't tickle your fancy and you would rather eat at a different resort (it's a nice way to see what else is out there), then I would suggest either Citricos (which probably has the best food on the DDP) or Artist Point.

In other words, I don't think you could go wrong with any of my suggestions. :thumbsup2
