Dh and i are going to disney for our ten year anniv. in october. we are planning on purchasing the dining plan.

i am more adventurous when it comes to eating and Dh not so much. where are some places that we could eat that would satisfy my adventurous side and dh "normal" side?
:lmao:

DH and I went for our 10th anniversary in April of 2007. We had the DDP too, but splurged and our 'gift' for each other was dinner at Victoria & Albert's

DH was skeptical, but did it for me. (I too am adventurous and he is not so much) In fact before dinner he was talking about how he was glad to do this and it's something that's nice to do once.

Mid Dinner he's talking about doing the Chef's Table 'next time'. :lmao:

The food SOUND and LOOKS frou frou and gourmet. However, it tastes WONDERFUL. I had Elk that was better than any fillet mignon I've ever had in my life.

It's quiet, it's romantic and it's an incredible experience! I say try that!!

For us, we can't even consider going again until our trip in 2010 (after our March 2008 trip that's the next time we can go) However, if you can swing it in your budget, I highly recommend it!! (If you qualify, they take the DDE Discount card there, so you'd get 20% off your meal)

i agree with OKW Lover. check out the menus and see what you both like. my DW and I have gotten the DDP the last 3 times we've gone and one of our favorite things to do before going is looking through the menus together and planning our meals. last time we went i was impressed with the restaurant at EPCOT's France area. i had never had ratatouille (sp?), but loved it in combination with the calamari.

In the parks Chefs de France or Hollywood Brown Derby. At Resorts Artist Point is a good choice. Calf Grill is awsome too. I agrre with the others check out the menus & go from there.

MGM-
Brown Derby: nice atmosphere, a few things for the more adventurous eater but some more simple dishes as well (open for lunch)

Epcot-
Coral Reef: fish is delicous and fun to watch
Biegarten:: the show is fun and there's a little of everything
Teppan Edo: the hibachi grill is neat and they cook some more basic dishes as well
Le Cellier: good steaks, simple but a fair selection

MK-
LTT: best place at MK

Poly-
Kona: our favorite breakfast

GF-
Citricos: a nice selection and a great splurge (since you're on the DDP)

Con-
CG: great view, great menu and wine list and also great splurge

BC-
Cape May: nice seafood selection for you, good selection for your DH

thanks so much for all the replies. i have been making a list of places that i think we would both like, then i am going to show him the list and let him choose....

Hi sweetcarolina,

I'm in the same situation as you. I like to try new things and my DH is a steak and potatoes kinda guy.
We've been to WDW 4 times and in my experience there is something at each of the resturants that he'll eat. It seems like they each have some sort of steak or chicken dish with potatoes or pasta.

Check out this site www.allearsnet.com. They have menus for each of the resturants. I'd suggest picking ones that appeal to you and then double checking they have something you DH might like.

By the way we both LOVED Cafe Marrekesh in Morrocco. The beef on the shishk kabobs is so tender and juicy and we loved the seasoning. We did the Morroccan Feast which included dishes neither of us had tried before and they were fabulous. My DH requested this one again next trip.
