Dad is going to be on a business trip, so for two days it will be just me and my daughter (5yrs) doing MK. We are staying at the CS, but I was not to impressed with their food court. The Pizza was terrible. I need a place to go for a good meal but a fast meal. A buffet is out, too hard with just me and my daughter. What's good and fast? Anything around MK or the Hotels is fine. I was thinking of Kona Cafe... great kids menu there....

If location is'nt a problem for you I would head over to Downtown Disney. Wolfgang Puck Express is very fast because it is a counter-service restaurant with food that does not include burgersor a hot dog.

They have really good pizza and chicken. Then you could do some shopping or take a stroll through downtown disney. This would be a great bet for a good fast meal.

...INSIDE the MK is Aunt Polly's. My wife and I like to stop there for their PB&J sandwiches and chicken fingers! :D (Shhhh. Don't tell. They're supposed to be just for kids...)

And I believe the Main Street Bakery may sell sandwiches, too, in the afternoon.

Otherwise, for something FAST, outside the MK, your choices are pretty much limited to the cafeteria-style places in the hotels, which are probably about on a par with the CS food court.

One more thought is the Trail's End buffeteria, in Fort Wilderness. They have a pretty good selection of interesting food, and are reachable by boat from the MK. It's about a five minute walk, I think, from the boat dock to the restaurant. (And you could even couple it with a short visit to the petting zoo. Love their pot-bellied pigs! :bounce: )

The Pepper Market has much more to offer than pizza. Have you tried any of the other dishes. They offer Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Steak and potatoes, sandwiches, burgers, all types of salads... It is not your average food court.

You can take a bus to MGM and then the boat to the Boardwalk too. DtD for Planet Hollowood.

Your idea of Kona is actually a great one. Not sure if you are talking about lunch or dinner but the food at Kona is very good and the service is very fast. It would be a great choice for either meal with a five year old.....so much more relaxing than a food court, much better food and because you won't need to stand in a line at the register probably about as fast!
