suggestions on finding a roomie?

I wouldn't worry too much about your roommates and how they will feel. I can't imagine it really being a problem, as long as they're not allergic, or you're not asking them to help take care of your dog (which I highly doubt). Or if you have a gassy dog. ;) I don't know anything about your disability, and frankly it's none of my business, but I want to point out that if you are in a chair, then you're not moving apartments because there are designated disability apartments. Not to mention, once everyone starts working, you will all be trains passing in the night. You'll rarely see each other.

I'm concerned also with Disney's reaction when I get there though. I've had lots of places say "Yeah, SD fine.." and then flip on me when I get there and yell and tell me not to bring that dog to work etc.

Actually, the gassy dog thing is something I'm worried about! Nalla isn't gassy, but has lots of food sensitivities and is lactose intolerant. If any of my roommates feeds her anything (i.e. table scraps) while I'm not looking she will get gassy and potentially very sick. She gets sick then she can't work for a few days, so I can't work for a few days. And then I'd get in trouble.
I don't suppose they offer medical single rooms like the college I'm going to next year?

I think a simple, "Hey guys, look. If you feed my dog any table scraps, he's going to stink up the entire apartment" will suffice.

I've heard they DO offer medical single rooms for an additional price, so you might want to call and ask...somehow I remember actually talking to someone who had a single room because of medical purposes.

If you want to try and find people to stand near to potentially live with others (if the medical room thing doesn't work out) I'll just speak on behalf of my roommate real quick (lol) and say we probably wouldn't mind having a dog around. I'm not a huge fan of them, but as long as it's not my responsibility, it doesn't bother me--especially if it's a service dog.

Omg!
I would LOVE to be your room mate.
I trained a Service Dog (He got matched with a client awhile back) and I miss having him around haha.

as per my knowledge pets are not allowed in CP housing?
what location are you in?

In the thread she mentioned it is a service dog.

We're arriving on the 5th if you are interested! (I read my post now and I sounded kinda harsh, :sad2: but it wouldn't be a problem!

I still haven't gotten my packet in the mail, so I'm probably going to be arriving much later than Jan 5th. Thanks anyway though :)

I arrive on Feb 2. If that is your arrival date, I wouldn't mind talking with you further about possibly being roommates.
