My sister and I will likely be driving on our next trip to WDW.
Its a 1.5 DAY drive each way.

I'm trying to put together a list ideas or better yet specific items that I should consider buying that are like "creature comfort" things.

We drove in 2023 and I felt like it went pretty well but I'm just trying to think of things that could make it better haha.

The go to for when DH and I drive from MD to FL is Target Monster Trail mix. And looking forward to a stop at Buc-ees.

As a ~22hr driver I truly hope your 1.5 days is counting sleep like us and not 36 hours driving!

What’s worked for us:
Maximize daylight driving hours. It’s easy to get tired once the sun goes down.
Pull over if you are tired. Even if one of you thinks you can keep going one person sleeping can pull the other asleep.
Bring pillows from home! My wife sleeps easily half the drive a little reclined with her comfy pillow behind her head.
A good music mix can definitely keep things lively.
If you find a podcast or audiobook you’re both interested in, even better. I love music but something directly engaging actually seems to make the time go faster!

And while it’s not in-car comfort per se, plan some fun stops on the way! Whether it’s sightseeing or, my favourite, finding somewhere different and interesting to eat. 😅

Its over the course of 2 days.
Last time we drove from 6am to 9pm and then from about 7:30am to 12:30pm.

Growing up we drove every year but of course its different as a kid. You have toys, play games, you can sit for hours without things hurting, and you can sleep lol.

When its just 2 adults and my sister is the driver I try to stay alert with her so she doesn't get tired.

We just want to get there and get back so we don't plan on stopping for fun attractions. We've done that many times as kids though.

Do you have a small cooler and some ice packs? That can be used to keep drinks cool or even have some perishable snacks.

I doubt you need it with just the two of you, but an inverter that plugs into the cigarette lighter with multiple outlets? Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Power-Invert...&keywords=car+inverter&qid=1727882682&sr=8-16

You can charge multiple devices and the AC outlets are good for laptops and/or device chargers.

Oh yeah we did have a cooler although I do recall it was hard to get to it when driving. Hmm that makes me think of IDK what the name of it would actually be but one of those things that would make the floor of the backseat flush with the seat?
Her backseats do fold down but doing that would not accomplish what I'm picturing. IDK what I'm picturing to be fair haha. But ya know how you can buy an inflatable mattress that also utilizes the space between the seats so you have a bigger space to lay? Like that but firm to hold the cooler.

You could probably just use a cardboard box or anything to bring the floor "up".
