Suggestions needed--Southern Border States

NEED YOUR INPUT.

Pretty soon we start our adventure. PA to Florida to Southern California.

We are planned out to Houston Texas after leaving Florida.

Leaving Houston and heading Northwest to Oklahoma our journey will go through the top on New Mexico and Arizona to Las Vegas and California. Detours such as the bottom of Colorado, Utah, North of Vegas can be doable.

What are the don't miss this stuff stops that we should hit. We are really flexible, time (not our age) is on our side.

Example: Camp here (an area) for a few days and make sure you hit this and this and this-----I believe you get the idea.

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

James Island county Park in Charleston SC Make sure you see lots of things Charleston is beautiful and very historical

Great Smoky Mountains National Park, several camp sites around Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, TN.

Sedona Arizona. All 5 of the state parks in Southern Utah. Driving across 40 there are lots of National Monuments. Walnut Canyon is one. Stop at them all if you have the time.

In the LA area, I'd recommend the Ronald Reagan Library (have lunch there, beautiful place, nice view. Maybe eat outside.) The Air force One exhibit is wonderful.

Also, Walt's barn at Griffith Park and the surrounding train area (LA Steamers) if you are there at the right time. Check "carolwood.com" and "lals.org" for the schedules. Ride by and check out Disney Studio's in nearby Burbank.

Any chance of a ride up the CA coast from LA to Big Sur (or part way)? Our favorite road trip!
