Here' the story: My aunt and her daughter have had a rough year (2 cancer diagnoses and 4 surgeries between the 2 of them) and they are throwing me a shower even though they're not in the wedding party because they knew my sister lives out of state and wouldn't be able to. They're also coming to the wedding, and are going over and above to help. They keep telling me I'm doing them a favor by keeping them busy and giving them a distraction.

Anyway, as a thank you, I was thinking of making a dinner reservation for them somewhere (nice) at Disney and then paying for it.

So my request for Suggestions is two-fold... 1) Where should I send them? (Aunt is VERY alergic to seafood) (and no, I'm not going to spring for V&A for them :rotfl:) and 2) What is the best way to do this? Gift Card, can you put a cc on the reservation, anyone done this before?

Have they eaten at CRT before? IMHO, the food at CRT isn't the best at WDW, but there is something special about eating in the castle. And since you have to prepay that one it'd be easy for you to set up as a gift for them.

Good idea... I'm just not sure if they'll be getting park admissions. I know my cousin most likely will, but pretty sure my aunt won't... so I don't want to make anything in the parks just in case... I forgot to mention that in my original post...

We did this. We made a reservation for my In-Laws at Artist Point at WL. We made the reservation and bought a gift card to cover the cost of the meal. They loved it! We also made a reservation for my sis and BIL for lunch with an Imagineer. This was in the park but I had 2 1 day tickets. (I think they now have dinner with an imagineer at WL) Again we made the reservation and gave them a gift card. Again they LOVED IT!!! I think giving them a gift card is a great way to go. IF they dont spend the whole amount on dinner they can use the rest for a treat somewhere else!!
