Suggestions from getting from LAX to DL? And hotel suggestions?

It's SO much cheaper to fly into LAX than orange county. Last night I looked at getting one of the vans to pick us up, but it was $45 one way. I can rent a car for the 4 days for $100 (or less) so this doesn't make much sense to me.

Also, I have been looking at hotels. Any suggestions? We don't want a really awful one, but the nice ones are $100+ per night.

I think it'd help if you fill us in a little more on how many people are in your party and when you are coming. Are you coming during peak season (holidays?)

You can get a deal on a rental or take the Disneyland Express if you don't want to drive. The Anabella is a nice hotel for under a 100 bucks a night. The Ayres is really nice and it is just slightly over 100 bucks a night.

I highly second the Ayres Hotel. . .we stayed there in Sept. 06 and it was fabulous! It has a French boutique feel to it and the beds were just heavenly! Rooms always nice and clean, the front desk was extremely helpful and they had a great breakfast in the mornings!

We're arriving on Nov 29 - My DH found a good rate ($93 including fees and tax) on a rental car and since the shuttle would cost more - we're driving.

Can't help you on the hotel though - we're using Hilton points to stay at the Embassy Suites South.

Just stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott - $109 but brand new and really nice! Not sure what to do about transportation - we get picked up by family at John Wayne - we don't use LAX - not cheaper from here.
