Suggestions for WWoHP next Thursday?

Hi everyone!

My father and I are heading down to FL for the shuttle launch and were going to try to go WWoHP on the morning that we fly in, Thursday. We should be getting in around 9:30, will rent a car and drive over.

We'll be staying on Disney property so don't have early access or anything to go on another day. We MIGHT be able to try to go on Saturday or Sunday but not sure what's going to happen with the launch. It's supposed to launch Friday but who knows!

Are we being crazy? Is this going to work? Have they been closing off WWoHP at all this summer yet? How have crowds been? Is it better later on in the afternoon?

ANY and ALL info is greatly appreciated! We haven't done Universal in decades and honestly only want to go see WWoHP. Thanks!

I don't know...that's a tough call. I think I would wait and go on a day when you can enjoy the entire day instead of just the afternoon. Now that schools are out and family vacations have begun, the crowds will be pretty intense throughout the summer. I think for the money you'll be paying, I would just come back another time instead of trying to rush over...you know?

Anyway...that's what I would do.

BTW...I hope the shuttle goes off as scheduled and you get to see it. We are having a huge "last shuttle" party on Thursday afternoon so that should be fun. I don't have a good feeling of the shuttle going off as scheduled if the current weather pattern says in place. I'll keep my finger crossed for you.

Thanks! Unfortunately, due to the weather forecast, we have to go Thursday to IOA. Launch doesn't look good for Friday so we definitely want to do IOA in case we have to go back Sat/Sun for the launch.
