Our trip is set for Thanksgiving week. It will be myself, DW, DS13, DD12 and DD4.

I know what will keep the older ones happy and make the trip memorable for them. Just give them money and a cell phone and tell them we'll see them in a few hours. :rotfl2: But what should we make sure our DD4 doesn't miss. I'm talking about the things you can schedule, like: eating at Cinderella's Castle, tea time, etc. What would you never dream of letting your little princess miss?

Please give me suggestions. I'm sure there's a ton of things out there that I don't know about yet. For example, I just learned about the story time with a character. DD4 LOVES to read and be read to. This is perfect for her. Now I just need to find out where this can be done and how to schedule it.

Thanks!

The story time is in a little corner behind Cindy's Castle, Belle does the reading and the times are scheduled and posted each day - but you can't reserve a spot.

Hi. AAA has a private storytime with a character (ours was alice in wonderland) for AAA members only that you can reserve your spot for. It's in a building near MK main entrance.
Also, princess, or any character, dining was a hit for my children when we went. The castle was a favorite as you get your picture taken with Cinderella as part of the package and the castle is fun to eat in. Norway does a princess meal although the food wasn't the best. Chef Mickey's is great too.
Bibbi bobbiti boutique in downtown disney offers princess makeovers that I've heard are great for the girls.
Mickey's toontown fair has character meet and greet lines which the kids love, including a princess line.
Have fun!

Here are some ideas:

1. Wonderland Tea Party - GF

2. My Disney Girl Tea w/Sleeping Beauty - GF (they get a doll too!)

3. Pirate Cruise -- GF and various resorts

4. Grand Adventures in Cooking -- GF

Check out allearsnet.com for more info/ideas. Your whole family may enjoy MVMCP if they are held during your trip.

We also like to collect autographs and hunt every park, restaurant, gift shop, resort, etc for the pressed penny machines. She also may enjoy a "spa" day w/mom and sis for a manicure!

Have a great trip and let us know what you planned and what worked and didn't work.

My DD is not the princess type....but the one thing she loved the most was meeting Ariel in her grotto. The look on her face and the pictures we got were fantastic. Her most favorite ride? Dinosaur in AK. It was the loudest scariest ride I've been on and she talked about it nonstop for weeks when we got back!

That's amazing because DD was just looking at our pictures from our 2001 trip and we had a long discussion about Dinosaur. I told her it was loud and probably would be scary for her. She asked me if the dinosaurs walked around and I told her no. She said "Then they can't get me so I will be ok. Can I go on it?" She a lot braver than I would have been at 4. In fact, I was scared when the one came down from the ceiling in our faces so it should be fun with her. I have a feeling we'll have to be getting all her toy dinosaurs out of her room when we return but :confused3 . :rotfl2:

And thanks for the info, keep the ideas coming. DD loves the princesses and Tink. In fact, she has asked us to redo her bedroom in Tink. I have to make sure we get a good seat at MK to see Tink "fly" during the fireworks or she is going to be disappointed.

Go to the Princess Storybook breakfast/lunch/dinner at Norway in Epcot. Other than the fact that you're in the castle for the castle breakfast, we liked the Epcot one better and so did our DDs. My DD, when she was 4 LOVED the haunted mansion, splash mountain, etc. Last year at 5, she loved expedition everest. If you ask her what her 2 favorite rides are, its Haunted Mansion and Expedition Everest. They enjoyed driving the cars in tomorrowland as well. Oh, and get her a hair wrap! DD got one both years and picked out her colors and beads for her hair. She kept it in at least a month both times. Have fun!

If your daughter loves Tink, then she may love an idea that I got from these boards and used with my kids. "Tinkerbell" visited our hotel room each day of our trip and left each child a small present. Things like disney sunglasses, small stuffed animal, those twirly light toys, etc. We told the kids ahead of time that we heard there was a rumor that Tinkerbell sometimes visits childrens hotels rooms while they slept and that if we made bags for her, maybe she would come. We decorated small bags with disney stickers, etc. and put them out each night. When the kids woke up each morning there would be a present in each bag, along with a little pixie dust. You could get Tinkerbell related items for the bag instead of generic disney items. I also used postcards with my kids favorite characters on the them and wrote messages from the characters to each child. That was exciting for the kids too. Tinkerbell could write to your daughter. My kids were 4, 5, and 7 when we went. 4 is a fun age! :)

This is such a great idea--I think I'll have to borrow it! My DD will be 4 on our next trip to WDW and she already loves Tinkerbell even though she's never seen Peter Pan...although I think the Easter Bunny might be leaving the movie in her basket this year!! ;)

To the OP, I also think you should get ressies at the BBB--so cute! Our last trip, our DD was still too young but we stopped by and all the girls looked like they were having the time of their lives. Have fun!!

We're going in May 07 and I scheduled an appointment for our DD4 at BBB in DTD. Afterwards we'll meet the rest of our family at CRT for dinner. It will be our first time at BBB and I really think DD4 will love it!!! Also - the tinkerbelle idea is one we do too...never thought about decorating bags...sounds like a neat idea :thumbsup2 !
