Does anyone have a good vaccum for hardwood floors? The vaccum I am using now for my hardwood floors and kitchen floor just isn't cutting it. TIA

Most of the Miehle canister vacs are designed for hardwood floors. I have one. The bristles are horsehair (not plastic) and every material used in the vacuum is designed to not scratch hardwood (unlike the previous Hoover that I had). They are very pricey. I got a mid-line one and it was $600.

I love my Roomba for the hard floors. I still occasionally vacuum them, but the Roomba doesn't it so well I don't have to vacuum often. The only thing it doesn't do real well are the edges, so I do need to sometimes use the edger attachement.

I wish you hadn't told me that. I am feeling an "appliance purchase" coming on.... :teeth:

See photo below and you'll know I have my vaccumming cut out for me! I reccommend the Dyson Animal (Purple one) HIGHLY! We are a 90% carpet free house so I know its good for Hard Floors!
