Suggestions for TL Day...

We're planning to do Typhoon Lagoon on a Sunday in mid-October.
We plan to be there for rope drop (10am) and to stay until about 2:30pm.
We then want to do Hollywood Studios in the evening around 6:00-6:30pm.

How hard on the head would it be to do an ADR at a restaurant in Downtown Disney in between those time frames?

We would change at Typhoon Lagoon and head straight to Downtown Disney from there. Then take some mode of transportation to Hollywood Studios.

I've heard horror stories about the buses. We're open to taking a cab or Mears... DTD buses only go to resorts, right? Can anyone confirm or alleviate my fears?

We are staying at the Beach Club Resort. Should we just have dinner somewhere on the Boardwalk or at the resort instead? Will we want to shower at our resort instead of at TL? What are the change rooms likes?

Normally the TL busses go from resort, to DTD, to TL. That has changed during the DTD construction. Now you get a bus at a park, to TL, so you may want to use a cab to DTD after.

The changing rooms and showers at TL are good, I wouldn't make the extra trip back to the resort if you are wanting to do DHS after, unless you just want to ditch the stuff. If you are doing that, I would eat at Epcot or the Boardwalk.

DTD is literally right across the street from Typhoon Lagoon. While the access roads would not be safe to walk it, it should be a VERY cheap cab fare. For the amount of time and hassle you would save, I would take a cab.

And yes, I agree that Typhoon Lagoon changing rooms/showers are pretty nice for a water park.

The only problem I can foresee is getting to HS after dinner. Unless you have a car or take a cab you would have to take a bus to a resort and then switch to a HS bus. There aren't any buses that run from DTD to the parks.
