Any suggestions for a good hat for wearing in the parks? I'd like something that will provide some sun protection, not too hot, and preferably under $50.

I'm a fan of baseball hats. They also serve as a pony tail holder. But they don't protect your ears or the back of your neck.

I was at Epcot this morning, and they had about 6 styles of women's sun hats with wide brims...all were very cute and between $30-$40. They were at the big store in Future World.

Type "sunblock hat" on Amazon.com.

Page after page will come up in all different styles!

I saw really cute ones at the garden center this weekend and they roll up and had a big brim. The cost was $22.. I will see if I can find one online for you.

Look here Says it has a SPF 50 rating.

I have a sunvisor I got at Epcot about 5 years ago and it is made of the same material as the hats in the link. It packs very well and has held up well.

I had this exact hat in purple for years. I LOVED IT. It rolled up really small so I could take it anywhere, and I loved the open top (I can't stand the top of my head being hot usually eliminating most hats). My dog got ahold of it last summer though, and sadly that was the end...RIP.

I also have that hat. It is nice that it rolls up (just kept it clipped to the backpack most of the time) but my biggest reason for purchasing it was the open top. We were doing our first August Disney trip and in that kind of heat and humidity I knew I was going to want to wear my hair up the whole time. This hat could go on and off without messing up my hair.

I didn't wind up wearing it much, but it was nice for the few times you're stuck waiting in the direct sun. It's also great for the beach or pool.

We use under armour hats with cold black. They work great for us you can get them at dicks sporting goods or under armour stores maybe amazon.
