Suggestions for shipping stuff home?

I've never shipped things home before and was wondering if anyone knew if there were mailing services anywhere in DD or GCH? We aren't renting a car so we won't have transportation off property. Lots of Christmas shopping to be done and I already know there is no way we will be able to bring it all back with us.

Thoughts?

Many of the stores will ship for you, but it might be more than you want to spend. I looked into shipping home a glass mug from the crystal shop and it was something like $15. The mug was only $25 or so, so I decided to wait and get one when I didn't need to ship it home.

My mom always ships packages from her trips to various places and she likes to purchase a flat-rate box from the PO. You can put in as much as the box will hold and the price is the same--around $10 or something. She said the box is not that large but it's the cheapest way she has found to send things home from Hawaii. That might be something to look into.

I forgot some things in our room at the GCH before and the hotel sent them right away to us. We got it 2 days later, dont remember the price though

There is a business center in the GCH. I just bring the stuff that I need to mail to the office and the CM will find the appropriate sized box and help me pack it in and tape it up. I think there is a choice of either fedex or ups. Then, I just fill out the paperwork.

It is so easy and convenient. Of course, more expensive than finding a post office - but easier than driving around and standing in line at the post office while on vacation. :rotfl:

You can go online and setup an acct on UPS or FedEx. Keep your acct numbers on hand and you can go to any UPS or FE location and give them your acct number. They can ship the pkg to you in approximately 4 days.

I've also sent items using a Flat Rate Box and bought my labels online and took them with me on the trip in both PDF and printed.

We are leaving in a couple of weeks and this time I am shipping FedEx Ground to and from CA.

There is? Excellent! We're staying there so that makes it even more convenient.
