Suggestions for servers - Disney Fantasy

Anyone have a particular favorite to request for kids with Food Allergies? We leave in a few days, but if requesting someone will make my kids experience the best possible I'm willing to do anything!!!!

It's on the coupon sheet. After you separate the coupons to put in the tip envelopes, the top of the page is your receipt. It has the name/position/tip amount there.

I highly recommend Yoga. We had him in April so I have no idea if he is still on-board but he was amazing with my two kids 7 & 4 at the time.

Last march we had Putra and Jesus and would definitely recommend them. They were very efficient and had great attention to detail. Also they both loved to laugh and Jesus had some good magic tricks.

Our most recent cruise our servers were Tom from Indonesia and Aaron from England. They were fantastic. Aaron and I had a funny thing going between the two of us when he would set up puzzles on the table for us to solve them, only to have me solve them within minutes, if not seconds, of his setting them up. He finally got me on the last one, though I still contend that my alternate solution was correct too. It was a great deal of fun.

My other favorite server on the Fantasy is Krasemir from Bulgaria. He was our first server ever on the Fantasy and he remember us every time he sees us. He is sometimes in the Head Server position when someone else is on vacation, but this past November he was a Server, though he did fill more of a supervisory role in Cabanas during the day time. He is a fantastic server and an all-around wonderful person.

How does one request a server? Normally I wouldn't care but last time we were quite disappointed with our servers. Not very engaging with the kids and super slow. We had a supply server one night and saw a difference. This is like to be able to request a good one if possible.

Just call DCL and have the request placed on your reservation. They will give you the "it's just a request, yada, yada, yada", just agree and ask for it to be put on there anyway. If you used a TA, they need to make the call.

We're just off; we had Jelena (Serbia) and Marcelo (Chile)--they were FANTASTIC. My children absolutely loved them both. Jelena is heading home for a break soon so I'm not sure who Marcelo will be with after that. They did riddles and jokes and origami with the kids, besides just being genuinely warm and honest people (and good at their jobs). One of my children is super introverted and was so comfortable with them by the end of the cruise that they both got hugs before we left this morning!

ETA that two of my children have food allergies and Jelena was careful to have the menus available for the next night to look over and pre-order each night so that it could be prepared separately/safely (shellfish allergy, so making sure there's no cross-contamination) for my kiddo the next nights dinner. I'd recommend her (when she's back) for anyone worried about food allergies.

In the past couple of years on the Fantasy we have had many awesome servers.

Ian (Africa) was our most recent server in September and he should be back by the end of January. Super friendly and fun.

Jocelyn and Rasheesh were our original serving team back in November of 2013 and they were fantastic as well. I have seen her on many cruises since then and she remembered the kids by name. Most impressive since it had been a year between the cruise we met them and the next one on the Fantasy. I saw her on the April 2015 and the September 2015 cruises. Haven't seen Rasheesh since the original sailing though.

Irina (Ukraine) and Amelia (Jamaica) were outstanding on our September 2014 cruise where they worked together. We saw them both on the April 2015 and September 2015 cruises and had requested them but Irina had been moved to Palo and Amelia was in a different dining rotation. By September, Irina was back in the dining room, which we did not know until we saw her at breakfast one day. Would have requested her had we known.

Those are my top picks as far as servers and assistant servers.

We are back on the Fantasy on the 30th and I have requested Ian. He was leaving on his time off the week after we got home and he said he would be back by Mid January... fingers crossed!!!

We just came off the Fantasy and we had Alvin from the Phillipines and Santiago from Colombia. They were both so amazing with my niece and my mom! We had Santiago before and specifically requested him again. Alvin was totally a bonus!

We had Andre from Jamaica on the Magic and heard he is now on the Fantasy. He was amazing with our girls! I plan to request him next year when we sail.

Was it Andre or Andrae from Jamaica? If it was Andrae, he is not in the restaurants. He is a bartender on the Fantasy now.

I'll have to reference this thread in the future. Just got off the fantasy yesterday and wasn't all that pleased with our regular and assistant servers. Noticed a difference between the MDR servers we had and the servers at lunch in royal court and in palo. We had Alvin from the Philippines for lunch in royal court and he seemed great, always smiling and super friendly. Wish we had him in the MDRs. Our Palo server Luca from Italy was great as well.

Has anyone had Chinese servers? We lived there for many years and I miss it terribly. Plus, Chinese LOVE to meet my very American blond, blue eyed Shanghai born son, who grew up eating veggies with chopsticks and they get a kick out of our Mandarin.
