I've decided I really want to be away next Christmas with dh and 2 teen DD's would love 2 weeks but guessing 1 week will break the bank. Florida isn't warm enough to risk it so wondering if anyone has done an all inclusive that wasn't 4k each over Christmas? We went to Beaches Turks last Jan and loved it but scored an amazing deal that I have never seen again. DD is in high school now so can't pull out of school.

Looking for suggestions and experiences.

How about a cruise, they are more expensive at Christmas but I was looking at the Royal Caribbean website and I did not think the price was that bad. I think the Frredom was in the 4k range and the Allure was in the 5k range plus airfare.

If you look hard enough, there are some good deals to be had at Christmas. Florida at that time of year needs 2 weeks to guarantee at least 1 week of good weather. Someday, I hope to spend Christmas in Hawaii, but only if the right deals pop up.

I'd also be interested in something like this. DS (15) is not enthused about going back to WDW anytime soon (doesn't care for rides) - so something reasonably priced for a family of 4 is something we have talked about recently - especially if we can do it in lieu of Christmas....there's something alluring about waking up Christmas morning and heading to the beach/pool, etc. instead of the normal routine.

YEAH!!! 500 posts !!

Disneyrookie-congrats on post 501! I also like the idea of someone else making my turkey dinner and cleaning up from it!

Hoping someone chimes in with a Jamaica or Mexico deal they found. I should also mention, it would need to be a nice place. I'm a hotel snob - I like nice beds and clean ( bug free) rooms. :rolleyes1
