Suggestions for improving FP?

Some of you don't like the FP system and want to see it improved or scrapped. I don't think it should be scrapped but one suggestion I have is only running all of the FP machines during peak seasons (Summer, Christmas, Spring Break)

What do you think?

Why?

We love Fast Pass and we make good use of it whenever we are there. It's made a huge difference it how we tour the parks. It's one of the best things they offer!

Who wants to see FP scrapped?? It's the best thing Disney has put in the parks in the last 15 years!

The system they have now is pretty fair, the only improvement I could see would be allowing resort guests to possibly "schedule" their FPs from their rooms or something. That would be nifty, and a much better resort bonus than fighting the hoardes during EMH. :)

I have seen attractions with the Fastpass machine turned off when the standby wait is short, so I think they probably already do that.

We love Fastpass (especially when the parks are crowded)!

I like the idea of letting the guests "schedule" some fastpasses (for maybe two or three items a day since presently you're limited to one fast pass until you're in the window of your first timeframe or two hours after you got the first one - or something like that!)

We were down the second week of September last year (arriving on a Sunday) and the only time they had the fastpass machines on was on the last Saturday we were there. During the week, we never waited more than 5-10 minutes for anything so there was no need for fastpass. They just left the covers on all the fastpass machines.

I like the suggestion of letting resort guests schedule fast passes from their room. If that's too complicated to work out, how about letting resort guests have TWO fast passes outstanding at the same time? I know some park tickets are included on the room key, so the machine should be able to read that it's a resort guest. For those with separate park tickets and room keys (like annual passes), maybe both the park ticket and room key can be swiped through the machine to get the 2nd fast pass.

My thoughts exactly.
