Suggestions for Football Game Viewing at WDW

When we were there in Dec. I asked about supebowl weekend. The waiter that i asked said that everyone who was at the door when the doors opened got a seat for the game. good luck and have lots of fun.

You can get to the sports comples on Disney transportation but I think that you have to take two different busses. Good luck.

We watched the Red Sox in the World Series two nights in a row at ther 4th floor lounge/bar in the Contemporary.

ESPN can have quite a wait during peak times. I've seen lines out of the door on a few occaisons. How about room service?? At least you won't be embarassed in public when the steelers lose. :earboy2:

Just be aware that the ESPN club opens around 11am, but kickoff isn't until after 6pm. That pretty much agrees with what I had heard--there will be people waiting to get in when the doors open on Superbowl Sunday.

We were at WDW during the Superbowl in '03, but didn't bother going near the ESPN club. Note that each of the resorts typically has a bigscreen TV brought into the lobby / common area on game day for any folks that wish to gather. As noted, SSR already has one in the Turf Club lounge area.

That is great news! I'll be there Super Bowl Sunday, but don't want to waste our first day at ESPN, nor do I want to sit in the room and watch the game. A big screen TV in the common area of BWV - perfect! Thanks for the info!

Now if the Eagles can just win this Sunday....

Perhaps we'll just stick with the Turf Club @ SSR. We actually want to be with a bit of a crowd during the game...sort of a substitute for 65,000 people waving their Terrible Towels. :wizard: Thanks for the suggestions.

Hmmmmm, wasn't that the Patriots I watched get thoroughly manhandled by the Steelers at Heinz field on Halloween? :badpc: Now THAT was an embarrassing loss!

We’ll be celebrating a Steeler victory at BWV. Enjoy the game! :cheer2:

Skip, I'll be in BWV lobby with my Pat's hat, see you there......

I think the Colts thought they were "ripe for the picking" :cool1:

I'm so jealous of you all being down in the nice warm weather to watch the REAL Superbowl this coming Sunday. We will be stuck in New England under 2 feet of snow!

What ever happens, the team the wins at Pittsburgh will win the Superbowl.

If the Pats don't turn it over, they will win. We are a different team from Oct 31. I just hope the same Pittsburg team from last week shows up! At least we've had our football season extended. I don't know how the people in Indianapolis are doing with no hockey!

Now if I can just get out of Pittsburgh today. My plane is currently delayed in Chicago, arriving in Pittsburgh at least an hour late, then hopefully we can get out of here and on to Orlando before too much more snow falls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again, the Patriots handed the Steelers their butts WHEN IT COUNTS.

On to Jacksonville!

Ahhhhh, two more weeks of football!
