We are staying for only two nights before our cruise in August and are not planning to go to any of the parks. This visit is about going to places in the World we don't normally visit.

Since we'll be well fed on our cruise, I'm not sure if we want to do any big dinners while at the World. OTH, I'm not sure if we're going to want to eat POR food court every meal.

Has anyone gone to other hotels for their food courts? Last time we stayed at All Stars, I had this incredible pasta dish. Do all the food courts sell the same food?

I figure we have three lunches and at least two dinners to fill, depending on how late we hang out Friday night.

I've read good things about Trail's End Buffet or I might talk my husband into going to 'Ohana, which we haven't been to for a long time and I used to enjoy.

Can anyone give me recommendations for lunch places that aren't too pricey? (We did the place at WL) last time. My husband doesn't like fish and we have kids in tow. I'm thinking a trip down the river to DTD to Earl of Sandwich may be nice.

You are right..the made to order pasta at all stars is amazing. We love it. We also love their carved meat/potato/veggie dinners..they are like home made.

Earl of sandwich is pretty good and probably the best value on disney property.

As far as the moderate food courts..I think they have horrible food. There is the new pop century food court..but, the food at all stars is much better.

Why not head across the street from the disney village market place..there is pizzeria uno, chevy's, jungle jims, etc. All good options.

Earl of Sandwich has excellent food, and the prices are reasonable, especially by WDW standards.

Our favorite WDW meal this trip was Kona Cafe. The food and service were great, and we thought the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. The prices were higher than food court prices, but very good for a WDW table service restaurant.

Webray,

just wondering, where are the places you mentioned... chevy's and jungle jims?? what kind of food?

thanks!

How about ESPN on the Boardwalk? We find their food to be very good. I enjoy stopping by there midday to get nachos for lunch. They are so good there and everything seems reasonably priced.

We were there earlier this month and tried to balance out our food cost by eating several meals outside of the World. Our favorites were:

Sweet Tomatoes - Salad/Soup/Pizza/Dessert buffet

New York China Buffet - Chinese/Korean/Vietnamese buffet

Cheesecake Factory -

Johnny Rockets -

We are very picky about our food, and I can honestly say that all of the above were very clean, very fresh, and very good.

Wish we were going back!!! Have fun.
