Hi everyone! My brother and sister-in-law are bringing my nieces and nephew for their very first visit to Disneyland in February :cool1: I wanted to send them some goodies to get them excited and also have some stuff so they don't spend too much in souvenirs at the park. I was wondering what suggestions you all might have as to little goodies I can send them to get them excited for their trip and also to have to bring to the parks. They are 9-year old boy, 6-year old girl, and 4-year old girl. TIA for any suggestions you have :thumbsup2

Glow sticks to have nightime. It's nice to have some things for the when all of the nightime Dinsey vendors come out with their high dollar stuff. Disney Dollars are cool to have. They are like gift cards but look like monopoly money. You could give each child $5. At our Target, they have several types of Mickey snacks. Fruit snacks, crackers and cookies. Mardi Gras necklaces. Disney stickers.....

Pins for trading. Instead of an autograph book I wish we had done a pillowcase w/ sharpie markers for signatures. Maps. Micky heads from Home Depot. We used them on a count down calendar and it was really fun!

Have fun putting this together. :hippie:

FWIW, as we already had 5 autograph books, we did a pillow case this past trip. We make an iron on transfer of our family in front of the castle and ironed it on the middle. It turned out really cool. This trip, I have a big LLBean type canvas bag. I plan on ironing on a new photo. DD can use it as her book bag for school! :hippie:

I LOVE the book bag idea! :yay:

I like to get the kids pajamas from the Disneystore online. They often have sales on Disney guns for boys. Usually light up and make noise. You could get the girls princess hair and tiarras there. After Halloween a lot of this stuff will be marked down. They always have cute sweatshirts too. I always look at the outlet side too.

This sounds like a great idea! How did you do it exactly? How did you get characters not to sign where you were going to put the picture? How did you get it stiff enough for the characters to sign it? Does a sharpie really stay after washing it? Did any of the characters take up too much space, (ie hog the pillowcase)? I'm sure I can think up some more questions to ask if you give me time ;)

For the pillow case, I had a folder inside to keep the ink from bleeding through. It also served as a good writing surface. The sparpies did great. I bought the multicolored ones to make it PURTY:banana: I taped a dark blue
5x7 piece of paper where the pic was going to go.

When we had the characters sign, I already had the clear spots ready. That kept the signatures evenly spread out around the case.

For the bag, I have a piece of cardboard that will fit inside the bag. There is a spot on the bag that is surrounded by stitching for the photo.

As for autograph gogs, they all seemed to sign in the same size

We did the pillow cases when we did the Disney Cruise. There was a lady on Ebay that did Disney embroidary designs with the kids names on the end of the pillow cases. They were about $12.00 and super cute. Then I bought the multi colored sharpie pack from Sam's club. All of the autographs turned out amazing. The cases are super cute and the kids still use them a year later. Some of the autographs have faded a bit but I wash the cases on hot and put them in the dryer. They may look nicer it you wash it a bit gentler than I do.
