Suggestions for departure day...

We leave in 8 days for our first trip to WDW, it will be me, dh, ds9 and dd5. At the end of our trip, Tiffany towncar is picking us up at 4:30 for a 6:30PM flight. We will be staying at the WL. I have made a PS for Kona at 10:30 for breakfast. I was thinking of going to DTD after breakfast(we are also going on our arrival day to DTD), but not sure if it is worth the time, looks like bus the commute is long. Do you all have any other suggestions for things to do on departure day that does not involve going into the parks(we will have used up our PHPs by then). I would love to hear your suggestions!

We usually go to DTD on our first and last days also. Another idea is to go resort hopping. SInce you'll already be at the Poly for breakfast, check out the shops and grounds there. And then head to the Contemporary and GF. You're lucky, I still have over 2 weeks to wait:-( Have a great trip!

We usually leave in the morning of our departure day. I have thought about what I would do in this case, and I keep going back to dtd or the boardwalk or the resort pool. The boardwalk has fantasia gardens mini golf within walking distance and the espn club for a late lunch. I dont think the bus ride length to dtd should be too much of a deciding factor for you. Now hanging out at my resort pool sounds very relaxing. Have fun.

Thanks for asking this question because we'll be in the same situation for our trip in July; staying at the WL, 6:30pm flight, and no park tickets for that last day! Although we'll probably be having an early breakfast at concierge on that last morning.

I'm thinking that a trip to Downtown Disney is probably the best thing to do, along with some time at the WL pool. But I'll keep reading this thread to see if anyone has other ideas!

we have started going to a movie at downtown disney on our last day. We have done this on our last 2 trips.

Ahhh...the pool...didn't think of that. If we have already checked out, will we still be able to use it that day? Are there locker rooms that we would be able to use(all depending on the weather, of course).

We have a nice breakfast somewhere, then look around the hotel (last trip breakfast was Chef Mickey's and checked out the hotel) then went to the marina and rented the mouse boats.

Other trips we have hung out at the pool. Just used the restrooms to change.
