We need help please! My dad has decided after seeing a Travel Channel special that he would like to do a Disney breakfast. He rarely makes a special request for our vacations, and we would really like to find a great breakfast for him. I didn't see the TV special so I don't know which restaurant he saw, but I think it was a buffet. Maybe Chef Mickey's? Can anyone make a suggestion for a nice breakfast experience with enough variety to please my "senior" parents, my "thirty-something" siblings and husband, two tweens, and my two toddlers? (Not asking for much, am I?) :D Thanks so much!

I have two favorites for buffet breakfasts:

Chef Mickey's
Crystal Palace

Chef Mickey's is a fun place. It does get somewhat noisy when the napkin dance is being performed so I don't know how the "elders" would like that . . .The food is good and the character interaction is ok . . .

Crystal Palace is on the quiet side . . .no "activites" the breakfast was up to par with Chef Mickey's. The characters do spend a couple minutes at each table . . .

Chef Mickey's has Minnie, Goofy
Crystal Palace has Tigger, Pooh, Piglet

You can't go wrong with either . . .:D

Chef Mickey's would be great, I would think. It's a buffet and it doesn't require park admission to attend. You get some great breakfast food and characters! I think it would be fun for the whole party.

Now, another great character buffet is at Crystal Palace over at the Magic Kingdom. You get Pooh and Friends along with another great buffet. But, you have to plan on using park admission to gain access to this one.

There are other great breakfasts at WDW, I am quite fond on the breakfast served at the Rainforest Cafe outside of the Animal Kingdom park. You don't have any character interaction there, but the place is certainly well themed and a lot of fun. The food is worth the trip too.

You can check out WDWIG for more dining details!

all I have to say is great minds agree( or something like that ) since I just asked basically this same questions!

We have never tried the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom, but I made a PS for breakfast there for our upcoming trip because of all of the people on this board who have raved about it. It is a character breakfast with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eyeore and Piglet. I keep hearing about a breakfast lasagna that is suppose to be awesome! It is a buffet. I don't know the exact website address, but if you type in WDWIG.com you can get access to a site all about Disney, including the menus from the restaurants. Maybe that will help! Have fun!

Chef Mickey's or O'hana's......
but breakfast w/out characters....Kona's mmmmm tonga toast!!!

1900 Park Fare at the GF is one of my favorites - beautiful restaurant, beautiful resort.

I've also heard Trail's End is a great bargain. We're hoping to try this one out ourselves and since you'll be right there at FtW, why not check it out?

Just some additional ideas. :D

Hands down this is our favorite breakfast location. It is reasonable, there are interesting as well as traditional choices and it is located in the AKL. We love it!

Thanks for all of the great suggestions! I had completely forgotten about Trail's End having breakfast...that's definitely one to consider. My two year old LOVES Pooh, so we might have to check out Crystal Palace. We normally do Chef Mickey's at supper, but I didn't really have an idea what their breakfast was about. If the budget allows we might actually have to plan 2 breakfasts, because I think we'll have a hard time deciding! I'll look into wdwig.com to study up on them all, but everyone's suggestions have been such a help...thanks again! :D
