we'd like to have an adults night out while staying at Fort Wilderness (Cabin).
Anyone have recommendations for sitting services for a 6 yo and 1 yo for dinnertine until ? midnight?

I'd like to find a reliable sitter who is flexible enough to take the little ones for pizza or to the campfire if they're up to it...then hose 'em down and do bedtime.

Call Ft. Wilderness or the central reservation center to get the info for the Disney babysitter program. Normally, I would NOT trust any out of town hotel sitters, however this service is great.
We used it and the sitter arrive exactly on time with toys and such. She probably was 40ish. Very warm and interactive with the kids. When we returned she had a detailed breakdown of the evening. I can't express enough how pleased we were with the sitter.
Its a good idea to book right away as these sitter are highly in demand.

Honestly though, I would have the sitter stay at the cabin. Maybe Disney dvds/vcr (since the cabin has this) and pizza would be preferable to a sitter taking kids out in the evening. When we used this service, we were at a disney hotel so she did take the kid out for a stroll with our prior permission. I just think it might be a bit worried about a sitter taking kids out at night in the campgrounds.
Far as those hours they will work that shift.

Over the years we have used all kinds of Disney babysitting services. We've used the Kindercare facility during the day, the kids clubs at night and last year we tried the Kids Night Out Group. The Kids Night Out people are not Disney employees, but we had a really good experience with our sitter. She was a young college student that really had a lot of enthusiasm and was easily able to keep up with our daughter who was 10. We gave her the golf cart keys, money, etc. and told her she could do whatever our daughter wanted (within reason). The problem was in FW itself. She had never been there and kept getting lost. This could be problematic for you, because I don't know if I would want a younger babysitter out there getting lost at NIGHT (our experience was during the day) with my 6 and 1 y.o. She did eventually come back to camp and they spent the next few hours just doing lots of crafts that she had brought with her. Overall, great experience, as she was well-prepared to begin with .... didn't really need a campfire program, etc.

kids nite out 407-828-0920 was recommended to us by disney years ago, our family has since used them continuesly since, the sitter brings toys/games, will bring the kids to dinner, put them to bed, etc.
