Suggestions for Anniversary Trip?

DH and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary in November and will be taking a long weekend without our DD. We were married at Disney and honeymooned at the CR on the 14th floor. I tried to reserve and and they are all booked, even regular tower rooms. So, my question is where to stay. We don't need conceirge, but wouldn't mind. I was thinking GF, but can you reserve a MK view and is it guarenteed? Is conceirge worth it? We plan to eat out often because we never get to at home with DD!

I can't answer all of your questions but when we stayed at the GF in September, we booked a lagoon view room and requested a MK view. Can you book a lagoon view but can only request a MK view. We were in Boca Chica and could see the castle but in my opinion, the MK view from the CR is the best! In 2000, we added a night to our vacation and the only room avail was at the GF. They put us in Sugarloaf and by the time our room was ready was around 3:30. They had afternoon offerings as well as food at night but I don't remember what it was, sorry! Hopefully someone will be able to answer your questions about the GF RPC and Sugarloaf concierge services.

What about the Polynesian lagoon view concierge? I have always wanted to stay there!

I suggest a Polynesian lagoon view room to guarentee a picture perfect view of the Magic Kingdom. You can book either the concierge or non-concierge for the view. The concierge building doesn't have 2nd floor balconies, so try for a 1st floor non-smoking room or a 3rd floor smoking room (they will desmoke it for you, but it still smells a bit).

The Grand Floridian will not guarentee a Magic Kingdom view, only a lagoon view room which could face the Polynesian.
