Looking for a hotel with 2 bedroom suites. Have stayed in the past at AllStar Music Suites but found that to be a bit crowded, with 4 children, hubby, and myself. Would like it to be close in proximity to Disney. Any suggestions would be so appreciated.:)

I look at the Doubletree Suites at DTD first. Then I would start looking to Hawthorne Suites, Residence Inns, and Bonnet Creek.

Look into staying at Vista Cay. I have stayed there 4 times in the last 4 years. It is a brand new complex and has many size condos. You can find a 2000 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath condo for about $125 per night. You will never want to stay in a hotel again. It's about 10 minutes by car to disney, 5 minutes to Universal.

I rent on Greatrentals.com and have had no issue

You can also check reviews on tripadvisor.com

Stayed at the Staybridge Suites Lake Buena Vista last spring with a 2 bedroom 2 Bath Suite. Living room, Kitchen and they have a hot breakfast buffet. Literally a couple minutes outside DTD. Stayed a week with four adults and worked out great.

We'll be staying at the Fountains. It's a Bluegreen timeshare, but I understand you can rent from owners. I 've never stayed there before, but the pics are fabulous.

We just stayed at the Lake Buena Vista Resort & Spa. We got a 2 bedroom for about $100 a night. The resort is really nice and very close to Disney. Its also a lot smaller than many of the timeshare properties so everything on-site, i.e. the pool & restaurant, are close to your room. They also have 3 bedroom suites as well. The pool was really fun for the kids with a big pirate ship & waterslide.

Why not rent a house in the area? I stayed at Bellybaby's house in Kissimmee for $149 a night - 4 bedrooms, pool and games room - it was awesome!

I just booked at Windsor Hills and it's price was very comparable to a hotel room and we just much more space! I've read it's only 5 min from AK.

Check out Bonnet Creek. You can't get any closer to WDW. It's on property next to Caribbean Beach, just not owned by Disney. We have been staying in a 2-bed for $120/night. Check out the link in my siggie, or look for the We love Bonnet Creek thread.

I was also going to suggest looking into that! With four kids, this would be a great location, and having the kitchen and washer/dryer is great. The place looks so new and nice. With that many kids, I'd look at the 3 bedroom units.

I think the brand new Homewood Suites in Lake Buena Vista has 2 bedroom uints. About 1.5 miles from DTD and a very nice resort.

We've stayed at three off park facilities, all with 2 bedroom suites. Marriott's Cypress Harbor, Horizons by Marriott (across the street from Cypress, but I believe it now has a new name yet still a Marriott property) and Sheraton Vistana Villages. All are time shares, but we stayed as guests, booked them directly at the chain's website and DID NOT need to sit through a presentation.

We've stayed at the Vistana Villages 4 times. If you google "vistana villages no housekeeping" you can typically find a non housekeeping rate for a 2 bedroom that is cheaper than one of Disney's moderates.

All three of these properties are on or just off of International Drive, within 5-10 minutes of the DW gate. All are extremely close to Publix (supermarket).

Horizons has a pirate themed pool area, which is fun. Vistana Villages has a large, serene pool area a waterfall. Cypress Harbor has a pond.

Staybridge Suites gets my vote too. We have stayed there 3 times, it is a great resort!:thumbsup2

We loved Marriot's Horizon's, but it's 11 miles from WDW. Only 1/2 mile from Sea World. Amazing place, kids loved the pools/pirate ship.

I think you can do better price wise though, in 2007 it was $190/night.

You can try the Hilton Grand Vacation Club on International Drive. They have 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites. It's about 2.5 miles from Disney property. When we stayed there, we would leave our hotel at the same time as our friends at OKW and we would always beat them to the park (it was much faster to drive a couple miles vs waiting for the Disney Bus). They also have a full kitchen (full size refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, pots & pans, dishes, etc.) and WD in the suites. A 2 bedroom has a King bed in each bedroom and a queen size sleeper sofa in the living area. The dining table seats 6 plus additional seating in the living area. There is a Publix right across the street so you can stock the fridge and save some $$ on meals. And the rooms are beautiful. They also have a shuttle to the parks (there is a fee - not sure how much) if some people in your party want to stay later at the park or leave earlier.
