Suggestions for accomodation for a family of 6

I have read somewhere on here that if your children are under 18 and they are in a second room, they almost always give you the connecting room. Now, I have no experience with this as I have two children and have never 'needed' this request. However, we have traveled with family a LOT and requested connecting rooms. Almost always the request is granted. Now, we have not always taken it as there have been times when we could get a better location by having them separate~ but we've traveled with family at least 7-8 times and each time, the connecting room request has been offered~ and we didn't have a reason other than~ traveling with family.

I think I would do 2 separate rooms and request connecting rooms~ telling them up front that you have children under 18 that will be in the second room. I feel like that option would probably give you more space and the price is almost the same as a suite~ like very close to the exact same. Plus 2 bathrooms. I'd check into that~ I feel like with a family of 6~ your request would be granted.

Even that is not a guarantee as it happened to someone on the DIS that she had four children under the age of 18 and she was the only adult. Her two rooms were not adjacent nor did they connect.

What are the ages of the family and how many separate beds do you need? It could matter on what kind of room applies based on who could pair up.

Not necessarily. The Room Assignors do their absolute best to grant requests, but connecting rooms are never, ever, ever guaranteed and should not be relied upon.
