We are staying in a 2 bedroom villa at SSR and plan on using the kitchen for breakfast, snacks, late night cravings, beer, wine, etc. We have 4 adults and 1 toddler. We will be lving there for 1 week. Is the dining plan worth it for us? I welcome all suggestions and advice! Thanks!

In my opinion the dining plan is only worth it if you plan on eating one table service meal per day, or a couple of signature restaurants.

You may want to look at allearsnet.com website to view dining menus to see what you would most likely do. Some families prefer not having to take the time for a table service meal, and others look at them like a welcome break.

Take a look at the menus to figure out where you will most likely be dining and add up what you would most likely get to see if it is worth the $38 per person, $10 per child per night... (remember that gratuities are not included on the table service meals, and they are no longer offering appetizers on the basic dining plan.

With what you have planned w/ eating at the resort i would not think the DDP would be worth it for you. DDP gives you SO much food that i couldn't imagine eating more than what you get 'free' with it. We only eat 2 meals or less a day when we are there and usually have credits remaining. Like the other poster mentioned if you plan on doing some of the more expensive dining choices it may be worth it but I'd make sure i was ready to commit to paying for meals everyday on the plan before I paid for it.
