From what I've been told, the forum software blocks new users from posting URLs; this is probably to prevent those stupid spam bots from flooding the forums with ads for home mortage plans or pills that claim to do you-know-what - I won't go into details.

However, there are many legitimate reasons to post URLs, especially if you're talking about a Disney-related site.

So I'm suggesting that administrators maintain a white-list of URLs that can be posted by any user regardless of status. Examples would include official Disney sites, friends of DIS, and Wikipedia articles, etc.

What do you think?

I think a little participation in the boards is not too much to ask before you are able to post URL's.
