We've got 2 days in Universal. We'll definitely hit all the highlights of WWHP, but beyond that I'm not sure what else we can do I'm a huge roller coaster fan. Unfortunately, my wife and daughter are decidedly not. The most they could do is the Teacups at MK (and even that was a stretch). My wife actually got sick on Test Track of all things :) My son (13) is good with low-level roller coasters but when I showed him Hulk on youtube, it was a quick no thank you for him. He also tends to get motion sick/headaches from 3D rides, so there goes Kong, the Jimmy Fallon ride, and FF. My daughter (9) has said she's definitely "too old" for Seuss stuff. So what's left? Do we just stay at WWHP the whole time?

MiB!
Water rides. Mummy. ET.
Minions is no longer 3D.
Kang and Kodos is more humerous than it has any right to be, so it's a worthwhile tame ride.
The Horror Makeup show is fun.
There are areas like the Jurassic Park discovery center that are fun to wander through.
There are meet and greets with Marvel superheroes, and the Raptor encounter, Simpsons, and others.

Plus just wandering around and enjoying the various lands and immersive scenery. Which areas appeal to your family? A walk through Springfield is great, for example.

Have you totally discounted the 3D rides? Is it worth it for your son to try something to mitigate the motion sickness for a ride like Spiderman/Transformers?

Don't forget the Jurassic Park playground. It's quite the challenge and not just for little kids.

Also Poisiden's Fury is an interesting experience.

Has your son tried anything like half a Bonine to combat that motion sickness? It does wonders for me.

Cat in the Hat is a fun ride. Not any more babyish than Little Mermaid, Winnie the Pooh, etc.

He’s willing to tough it out for Spider-Man so we’ll see how he does

It sounds like you've basically ruled out 90% of the rides at Universal. You might enjoy ET.

Can you son do 3-D and not wear the glasses? My daughter often prefers to just not wear the 3-D glasses...hers is more for intensity than motion sickness.

I also would suggest a little motion sickness medicine since your son really wants to do Spiderman and I'm guessing Forbidden Journey?

Also, as an FYI, Storm Force Accelatron looks like teacups, but I would say it is a little bit more intense. The teacups at WDW, if you just sit and don't turn the wheel in the middle are pretty tame, SFA is as if you are turning the wheel even if you are not. (Just in case there was a motion sickness concern). My family liked the ride, but my daughter could only do it if no one turned the wheel in the middle.

As others have said...all the shows, Kang & Kodos, MiB, ET, exploring other areas (Jurassic Park and the Simpsons are highly themed), meeting characters

Agree about Jurassic playground. It's great.
