My friend and I will be at All Star Music for one day pre cruise. I do not think we are getting a park ticket. I have been many times, she has not. Where you recommend going to lunch?
We may either hit downtown Disney and eat there or we may do some resort hopping so she can see different resorts and we could have lunch at a resort. Recommendations please.

DTD - we love Fulton
GF - Grand Floridain Cafe has yummy food and walk around the resort and go shopping.

Kona was my first thought. Have been there for breakfast and dinner twice.
Downtown Disney....nothing jumps out at me.

Thanks for the suggestions

Beaches and Cream and a stroll on the boardwalk is really nice. If you did decide to pop into a park for a bit, EPCOT is walking distance. :thumbsup2

Sanaa and then go outside and watch the animals. Good food, service and ambiance. Second choice would be Kona and then explore all the monorail resorts (this might even be first choice since your friend hasn't been before). But from a food standpoint, I think Sanaa is better.

Sanaa at AKV Kidani would be my first choice, but if you aren't in to Indian-inspired food, then I like Turf Club at SSR.

DTD: on a budget- Earl of Sandwich of Wolfgang Puck express; both are yummy

Or Kona Cafe, try a later b'fast with Tonga Toast there!

Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club for fun atmosphere

I'm seconding (or thirding) the Grand Floridian Cafe'. There are also some really nice shops at the GF. Then you could do the monorail shopping crawl to the Contemporary and the Poly (and maybe get a fruity drink by the beach).

Trouble with Kona, even at lunch, is that you'd probably better have a ressie. If you don't want that much structure in your day, stick with CS places.

If Poly food appeals to you, why not eat at Capt Cook? That way you can get the MK Dole Whip experience without having to go in the park; only place in WDW you can do that.

Or, since you will be resort hopping, how about Pepper Market at CSR or the food court (sorry, blanking out on the name) at POR for the build-your-own pasta? My perception is that both of those offer more food options than the average bear, especially at lunchtime.

Thanks for all of your replies. I was thinking Earl of Sandwich....is that a sit down? I would kind of like sit down since we are not going to have kids with us....but on the other hand, if we do counter service we might have more time for shopping.:cool1:

Kona Cafe at the Poly
Earl of Sandwich at DTD
Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD or Wolfgang Puck Cafe for more of a sit-down.

Don't see this one mentioned but we Went to The Wave last fall and really liked it.

Cookes of Dublin in Downtown Disney has *the best* fish and chips I've had anywhere, and I've lived in England.
