Due to health issues I have to live a sugar free lifestyle.
I am always on the look out for a decent snack in the park that isn't loaded down with sugars. So I thought I would start this thread for anyone else who also may be looking for sugar free snacks in the park.

I did see that the main street bakery sells sugar free fudge but they were sold out the last time I was there

Also in Germany candy store, they had sugar free gummy bears...

Thats the only 2 sugar free sweet snack options I found on my last trip... anyone else know of any?

EDIT TO ADD: the snack does NOT have to be on the dining plan. That would be wishful thinking hehe

The list... I am going to copy and paste suggestions on this first thread so people can find them nice and easy

I hear that the bakery in Norway has a wonderful sugar-free chocolate mousse.

they have sugar free butter pecan ice cream at most places serving ice cream

oh that sound YUMMY... I am going to edit my top post to include any snack options brought up so people can find them easier :goodvibes

adding yummy mouse to it :cheer2:

apparently the Plaza Pavillion and I think Cosmic Rays have a sugar free brownie! don't know if it's anywhere else?

Geez. I come into the sugar free thread and who do I find but Miss Praline... I didn't see that is was you posting this thread :) I was going to find ideas for us :)

I have heard great things about the Mousse too.

I do know if you call the dining reservation phone number you can have "no sugar" (just say Diabetic) added to all your reservations and most of them will make you a sugar free dessert. They did for my mom last time we were there.

No choices though. SF Ice cream one night, SF brownie another night...they brought what they had...since we were on the DDP she either ate it or not, no big deal. (they only goofed with a bowl of fruit...someone didn't realize fruit is sugar too...)

<waving> Howdy stranger!

Oh I am not worried about dining desserts. I can barely get 1/2 the meal down LOL

(for those who may be confused, Shelli and I are both weight loss surgery patients)

I was looking for those little sugar free snacks at the carts/ snack shops and all for a quick pick me up if I need it.

After doing some research I did find out they have sugar free butter pecan ice cream at most places serving ice cream

Popcorn
SF fruit popsicles (still fructose but no added sugar...not sure about that for either of us.)

I can't do popcorn at all... those kernels get stuck and talk about pain :scared:

frutose ... i am "better" at it but still NOT good... like 7 grams and I am getting ill.
