My daughter and I are going to be visiting Disneyland in May next year. She is a Type 1 diabetic and this will be the first trip we have done since she was diagnosed.
We will be adjusting her insulin to allow her to eat a lot of the treats while we are there (can't visit DL and not get a churro!) but one thing that can spike her sugar levels fast is normal soda - so we avoid that and go for versions that have no or low sugar.
Looking on the menus I can see that they have Diet Coke at a lot of the restaurants which will help, but what about the 'specialty drinks' - things like a root beer float or the drinks that come with a glow cube- do they have low sugar versions of those?
I see that a lot of the glow cube ones talk about Minute Maid 'light' lemonade or punch, but as we are from NZ I'm not sure if that means low sugar or something else.
Thanks for your help and any tips or ideas!!
