Sugar-free Ice Cream at DL?

My DD is hypoglycemic and cannot eat sugar. I wrote an e-mail to DL (from Disney's website) to ask where we can buy her sugar-free ice-cream and sugar-free desserts. I also asked if there were any sugar-free items offered at the Fantasmic Dessert Buffet and at the Mary Poppins Practically Perfect Tea. I explained in the email that we will be staying at the GC and are planning to spend three full days in the parks. Unfortunately, they only sent back an automatic reply that did not answer my questions. Here is the response I got, including a plug for FastPass:

For questions regarding the DL Resort's accommodations for special dietary needs, including product availability, preparation methods, and ingredient lists please contact The Chef at 714-781-3569. The Chef will not be available to answer all calls immediately, however, he will answer all messages left on voice mail. For the Disneyland Hotel, please contact The Chef's Office at 714-956-6719. Once again, thank you for taking the time to write. We hope you will have the opportunity to visit the DL Resort in the near future and trust your visit will be pleasant in all regards. Has anyone had any experience in finding sugar-free ice-cream or desserts in the parks? How about at the Fantasmic Buffet and the Mary Poppins Tea? I was hoping to find out this information before we left, and without having to place long-distance phone calls. Thanks in advance!

On Main Street there is a Ice Cream store and I remember they serve a Rainbow Sherbet. As for the no sugar ice cream i'm not really sure but I'm heading down to DL for a couple days starting today and I can check that out for you via my trusty laptop There are also Fruit and Juice bars thru out the park.

I spoke with an employee at Gibson Girl Ice cream Parlor and the Main Street Ice Cream Shop and they told me that they have low sugar ice cream but not no sugar. They do how ever have no sugar sherberts. They also have a frozen yogurt shop up in toontown called Clarabelle's frozen yougurt. At the Tiki juice bar they have Dole whips which is kind of like a Pineapple smoothie. I think covered it all...It's no problem anything I can do to help out

Thank you Swinginevilmike and "the trusty laptop!" I really appreciate you taking the time to check this out for us! My DD is thrilled about the no-sugar sherbet! She (and I) think it's absolutely amazing that "through the powers of the internet" a regular person like me on the east coast can post a question on the DIS Boards, and a kind person like you on the west coast is nice enough to go through the trouble to find the answer!
