We had to decide wheter to go on holiday this year, or save up and go to the US next year, well guess what won!

We are planning for Feb 2007, the idea is to go to Las Vegas for 4 - 5 days and then two weeks in Orlando.

Anyway, been pricing up flights, using Feb and Sept as a guideline, Feb tends to be a bit lower in cost, but I was surprised to find Sept you can do it for onl £500 per person though expedia, flying with Virgin out and back and with an internal airline for the Las Vegas to Orlando trip. (Had to click on direct only flights to get this )

Just out of interest I proced up 4th Sept for 2 weeks with a car and all insurances, it came out at 847, and again, flying with virgin. The Fly drive price with virgin for the same holiday was 1200!

So, if you are looking at either of those options expedia looks very good atm!

Sometimes you just can't help yourself :teeth:

That sounds like a wonderful trip! I really want to go to Las Vegas but I want to wait until my DDs are older (or even better go without them ;) )

That does sound like a good price. Mind you, our total holiday price for this year was £2400 so that only works out at £600 each, including flights and accommodation. I think there are some good deals out there.

So, are you still going for Feb or did September win out ;)

Thanks for that! I`m tempted to go to WDW this Sept if the prices are good. DD will be off to Uni this year. No more school to get in the way :cool1:
Your planned trip sounds fab by the way, good luck with that.
Well I`ve just had a look at Expedia and they have Virgin return flights to MCO from manchester for £428 in Sept - that is excellent.

We booked our flights with virgin in December 05 for next month and all 3 of us , DH, DD13 and me the flights total was £776. NOT EACH! Because of this saving we are staying at AKL and GF for our stay and as the accommodation is direct we are doing the dining plan as well so again saving more more.

If we booked this through Virgin holidays it would cost a hell of a lot more!

When we flew in December our flights were only £249. Sadly we usually travel in August and they are at least three times that, LOL.

It is great to get a good deal :)

Well, it will still prob be Feb 2007, due to money, but we are keeping an open mind and see how money goes. We would rather wait a few more months and be able to make mpre of it and stay for longer.

However, I was really tempted by flights at 248 for Jan 19th for a week, but not affordable ith the hotel costs etc.
