Suffering from Verandah Man Withdrawl

Verandah Man and family haven't even left their house yet and I am already starting to experience symptoms of Verandah Man withdrawl.....

With under one hour until we leave, I had to pop in and say good-bye one last time!!!

OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! Under an hour until we leave for the airport, showers are getting done, car is getting packed, just waiting for my mom to get here, then it's off to the Wild Blue Yonder and Sunny Hot Florida. OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! I've got butterflies in my tummy!!!

Rae - you are scaring me. IT like you were reading my mind (or maybe I was reading yours). I was on the road for work this morning thinking that it was goign to be a weekw/o VM and get back, sign in and there is your message.

As they say - we will have BD back - imaging how lonely we would all be if they were both gone

Ahhh, two great minds think alike!

It has been soooo bad today that I went out with Michael on our horses - then scheduled a massage with gal pal Erika AND am thinking of lemon drop martinis!

Go figure!

I am glad BD is coming back because it's been too quiet without him. It's going to be a LONG week without verandah man.

Hi this is Shirley and am getting ready to leave to meet Andy and the cruisers of 8-23-03 -------I have a big cake with Mickey and the gang on it -big sun with a big smile and the caption is "We be Kool" -of course - I even had palm trees added -got home and baked a real Key Lime pie for everybody so will tell Andy this thread has been started and he better keep in touch with everyone.

So Rae...now you know how *WE * felt when you went on your Fidelio search cruise!! The anticipation was murderous!!!
You and Andy are just ships that passed in the night...it would be nice if he did check in. Gotta know how the shrimp is!
I must be delirious from the heat this week...I haven't even gone on my next cruise in March (I know it's only 3 nights), and I am already looking for cruises to Alaska in 2005. Lord, help me (paleeze)!!

Good morning,
Norm and I did have the opportunity to meet up with Andy, his family, and numberous cruisers going today - Joe, the general manager of the Radisson was also there. I didn't know what really to expect but I do know this - I found Andy to be as sincere of a person as he appears on this board - I found him to be very kind and a very thoughtful person - I found this also about Dave, Tony and Barb after I had the opportunity and the honor of meeting up with them - until you can put a face to the name as to their sincerity, their kindness and really get to know them - you know they are for real and do have the best of heart for everyone. I have always tried not to judge from the beginning and on times I have, and found to be extremely wrong on all counts - when I thought I was right - I was wrong and the same the other way - I hold the deepest respect for Barb, Tony and Dave and in all honestly - even tho I have not known Andy for just a few hours, I feel he again a very respectable and kind person. Joe, with the Radisson, also showed a genuine concern for the wellness of everyone and to show up just was so nice - he provided the plates, napkins etc for the cake and lime pie - we all had a good time just relaxing and getting to know each other.
He did ask for me to tell everyone hello and that he would try to post something -
Well all hope that each have a wonderful weekend and that each stay safe.
