Such a scary thing happened to my cat this morning

As you all probably know, be very careful with shopping bags that have handles. Our same cat that got his head stuck in the chair (Tigger) got a shopping bag around his neck one time. Thankfully we were home for that, too. He was running around the house with the shopping bag like a parachute behind him. It was almost a funny sight, except for the knowledge that eh could have killed himself. He also fell twice from our upper level to the foyer (through the banister). He also used to like to perch on the railing over on that same banister, the crazy cat! I used to keep a squirt bottle nearby and would squirt him down (obviously I was in the foyer LOL). So far our kittens have not done all these things and Tigger's sister (Belle, of course) never had all these close calls that her brother did.

Ours has also gotten her head stuck in a shopping bag handle, so we're very aware to make sure that all bags are disposed of immediately now. Also, when she was a kitten she decided to test gravity by taking a flying leap off the 2nd story with a RUNNING start. It was 100% intentional. I didn't see it happen, but I did hear my DH scream. He thought that she was dead for sure. She was actually fine...she landed in the middle of the downstairs living room without a scratch on her. She's done some other death-defying stuff too...our other one has never done this stuff.

Our cat didn't mean to fall the story down into the foyer. The first time he was a little kitten and fell. I was upstairs and saw him fall, land, and take off running. My poor DD only saw him fall and thought he was dead. The second time he thought everyone was asleep, but my DH was working downstairs in his office. My DH came upstairs fast and it scared the cat and he flipped out and jumped. He was ok that time, too. Strange that one cat can get into so much trouble and another one no trouble at all.

I'm thinking that one of our kittens will be trouble because he is such a daredevil.

We had a kitten once who was so tiny, she got stuck UNDER A DOOR. I was in the living room and all I heard were these yowls of panic. When I saw what had happened, it was almost surreal, I just opened open the door and unstuck her without even thinking. I probably should have thought it through a bit more, but she was fine. I picked her up and she instantly started purring and licking my fingers (which were covered in salt).

Poor baby.

I watched my cat get stuck in the top of the garage door. She's an indoor/outdoor and the dumb thing must have climbed on top of the door when it was open. About freaked me out and I drove through the grass instead of the drive way to get to her.

She was completely fine---but I cannot imagine if I would have left while the door was shutting. I always stay and watch it close completely. We have the sensors and everything. They just dont' have them for the top.

It's so scary, isn't it. The reason Greta (our kitten) was in the room alone was because she was about a five week old kitten (from what we could determine) and there was another much larger, more jealous cat in the house, so Greta had to be confined to a separate room till she got a litle bigger. Little did I know she would try what she did (or be successful enough to get stuck at all)...she just wanted to be with everybody. We stuffed towels under the door after that. She grew up to be a pretty big cat though :goodvibes
