It's been a while since I posted but Pete's recent request on the podcast to stop lurking and try posting was a kick in the butt. I have been reading the boards regularly but was shocked when I realized I hadn't posted in almost a year! Anyway, we are in the process of adding on to our DVC (we have 160 pts at BLT and are hoping to add 160 at AKL). We are in ROFR right now. Just excited and wanted to tell someone who won't say "what's an AKL?"

Also, need to update my ticker because it's severely out of date...

Addonitis... love it! I don't think any amount of antibiotics can prevent or cure that. I'm still working through my initial purchase and already feel some addonitis coming on.:crazy2:

Good luck getting through ROFR! :goodvibes

It's for real. Title company just received my signed closing docs/check for my second contract. Enjoy all your new points!

Just passed ROFR so it's ours. Just have to wait for the final paperwork to arrive.:hyper:

Congrats!

We love AKV and have a couple of contracts there, in fact, we have one submitted right now just waiting for ROFR. How long did your's take to pass ROFR?

Congrats to you!! I'm currently waiting for my new membership cards. Wish they would get here already. It seems like a long spread out process but it hasn't been that bad. Good Luck for a speedy closing:):cool1:

It is hard to stop Addonitis. For me, it starts slowly - "Hey, I'm gonna look at what's out ob the resale market". Then starts the obsessing - "Well, I could make a small spread sheet to track and determine which contracts would be best for me". Then the phone calls on inquiry start to the broakers, then the offers and negotiations and next thing I know I am waiting in ROFR.

That is how I just got my 160 AKL points. A slow starting, but fast moving case of addonitis.

There were a boat load of 160 AKL contracts on the market, so we probably eyeballed the same one a few times. Good Luck on your contract.

Too funny. That is how I start too - I'll just have a look what's out there...then the spreadsheet...

I've caught the disease twice myself. For me it started with it'd be nice to have larger accommodations (i.e. move from studios to 1brs). Then it became always lv 1brs, just about anytime of the year. I can't say I have it now, but i might have a sore throat. I keep feeling that an Epcot resort would be nice.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Congrats! Had a case of addonitis myself. Our original contract is 100 points AKL. Our add-on, if we pass ROFR, is for 150 points SSR. I have a feeling this won't be our last purchase.
