Hello folks,

I was wondering if anyone here has successfully used the Touring Plans room request feature? I just setup 2 requests for our Jersey week trip at Ft Wilderness Cabins and POP Century.

It won't matter if we don't get what I requested but a King bed at POP would be nice :)

Lots of reports of success and some not successful.

June '17 we were one of 3 families traveling together and staying Garden View at PO FQ. I called Disney and did a "Travel With" to link our reservations together...

Anyway... I'm the only one with a touring plans subscription, so I setup a trip for me, and a trip for family #2... (There was a change family #3 might have needed to cancel, so I didn't do it for them)... For both those trips, I setup room requests asking for 4133, with the standard TP verbiage of "Bldg 4,Flr 1,NE-facing room.Exmple:4133,4132,4134,4131,4135,4130,4136,4129,4137" and added the text... traveling with reservations XXXX and YYYY please keep us close together.

We got 4135, family 3 got 4136, and family 2 got 4137. So a pretty good result, and I'd say success since those are on the "examples" list.

we have a request in for our Sept 30-Oct 7 Yacht club trip, so we'll see how that goes... Although it appears there are few rooms in the Garden View Club Level category, so its likely we'll get what is on our list, even if we don't make a request.

I've found I have the most success with room requests using Touring Plans. Calling to add a request doesn't work as well for me, and the few times I've tried only using the room requests section of online check-in, I've ended up with exactly what we didn't want. LOL. So I use TP. It isn't a guarantee you'll get the room location you've requested, but most of the time it works quite well for me.

I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed............like I said not the end of the world if we don't get them.........but worth a shot. :D

Worked good for me. One floor down from the exact room I requested. Got a fireworks view room at the Wilderness Lodge with a standard view reservation. Because of the construction.

We only did it once at the BC in November, and we did not get what we wanted...we liked using their website though!

I got a room a few doors down from the one I requested at ASMu over Labor Day weekend.

At Pop in May I requested a room in one of the 60s buildings and got a room in a similar area in the other 60s building which I was happy with.

I have used it 4x, twice at BWV got exactly what I hoped for, twice at POFQ got what I hoped for the first time hen not exactly what I wanted but a great room nearby the 2nd time.
