Success of kidani room requests?

Hi - we're headed to kidani in a standard view studio. I feel lucky to have the room. But ive been reading about the super long hallways. I have an infant and 5 year old and cant imagine walking a quarter mile to get dd a drink or anything. We wont have a car. I requested near the lobby. Has anyone ever requested near the lobby and ended up far? Any suggestions?

We got exactly what we requested at Kidani - a 3rd floor room, with a view of the savannah that has the giraffes (the name is escaping me at the moment) close to the elevators. Good luck!

Got the opposite of our request on both of our stays. Everyone requests close to lobby, 2nd or 3rd floor, and of course there aren't enough of those rooms to accommodate everyone that wants one.
