Substitutions for TS desserts on ddp???

Now that it is 2016, are most TS restaurants letting you substitute anything for a dessert? Is it only Disney owned restaurants? Does ViaNapoli let you substitute? Is there anyway to know before you go, if a substitution is possible?

I believe now you can substitute soup, salad or a fruit bowl but it is limited to what the restaurant has on the menu. So it varies per restaurant.

That isn't correct. It's actually NOT anything on the menu at all. It's a side salad or a veggie or whatever the kitchen MAY have.

Short answer is NO. Some TS restaurants may have something they'll trade it for, but not all. None of them are required to do so. And there is no way to know until you are ordering your food. It never hurts to ask wherever you are, including Via Napoli, but be prepared for them to say no more than yes.

It is a safe bet Via Napoli is a no substitution place. They are very orthodox on DDP.

Sorry I meant the same thing you said. Each restaurant may or may not have the soup, salad or fruit to substitute but it varies by restaurant. It won't be on the menu but each one may have diff sides to substitute with. We are going in 30 days and I plan to substitute with my dinner so will report back.
