Substitutions for Breakfast CS?

has anyone tried/been allowed to substitute a fruit bowl instead of the second drink?

No, and I don't think that they will. Could you use a Snack Credit for the fruit bowl and save a bottled drink on the CS credit for later?

Thanks for your answer! I thought about using a snack credit, but I find that we'll end up with so many drinks! I was going to buy DS some milk, but now I guess I won't bother. Plus, if ever I don't get in a fridge swap, I won't have to worry about anything getting spoiled!

At Pop Century's food court they allow you to choose whole fruit or baked goods or yogurt instead of the second drink (cut fruits were not permitted which I found really odd but you could get a bowl of grapes since that's whole fruit). I don't know if any other resorts allow this or not. POFQ didn't allow substitution last December.

Some of the food court will allow a fruit bowl and a bagel/muffin as the meal. Not in place of the second drink, but rather changing the breakfast from a hot breakfast to a continental one. Always ask though, as the rules change from day to day, place to place and from CM to CM

I thought I had read what comes with the TS/CS on the dining plan...but I must have missed the part about the second drink!! The last time we stayed on-site there was no plan - I just used my Animal Kingdom Lodge refillable mug for extra drinks!

I guess if we can't substitute at CBR we will just put the extra drink in the fridge.

We are arriving Dec. 31, so we can still get 2 drinks! The new DP ''rules'' are for arrivals starting Jan. 1.

Does your second package (the AKL stay) follow the 2010 or 2011 rules? Just curious.

Depends on the location, Mara allowed for it, Wolfgang Pucks did as well.

We were at Pop in Oct, they let my DS have an entree, a juice and a bagel w/ cream cheese for his CS credit. Worked great for us, he ate the entree and I ate the bagel, we used our mugs for other drinks too. I am hoping we are able to do the same at ASMu in a few weeks, fingers crossed.

@Crashbb: we are not on dining plan for AKL. CL and DP seems like way too much food for me!
