Calling either will likely do you no good. You will need to ask when you are there. You may want to ask who the previous poster called, but if it was WDW-DINE I should say that I really don't trust anything they say about individual restaurant policies.
We asked last June because my daughter doesn't like dark meat especially legs. We were told they did away with the nuggets that used to be on the menu and could not offer them to her. So, with my experience here, no nuggets unless things have changed since last year.

I emailed SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com with questions about numerous restaurants because DS has texture issues because of his Autism. That email was then forwarded to the specific restaurant and I got emails back from a chef or manager at each restaurant.

This can be done for allergies or medical conditions but it isn't available to accommodate preferences. If the OP's child has a medical condition she can go this route, but if the child just prefers nuggets to drumsticks she may be out of luck.

That is only for people one 'special diets'. I don't think the OP mentioned her child was on a special diet, just that she would only eat mac & cheese from here.

I didn't even think about that. I contacted them because I saw some sporadic reports that nuggets and fries were available upon request and asked if that could be confirmed because otherwise it would be a wasted meal credit for him. The response was that it would not be a problem but that very well could be because I told them about his issues.

Just to clarify, at no point did the manager of GG indicate that those items were only available to people with special dietary needs. Yes, that might be why I was told that it would be no problem but I can not say that for sure.

I was just pointing out that the email address you posted is to contact those who take care of individuals with special dietary needs They'd probably not like to get bombarded with email requests for picky kids, kwim?

Very true! I honestly felt foolish contacting special diets (especially for nuggets and fries in this case) and I only did so at the urging of DS's food therapist. But I am so glad that I did because they have been great...especially the chefs at Flying Fish and Cali Grill!
