Substituting chicken for seafood in pasta dishes?

Is this something that WDW restaurants will do? My dh is kind of picky and does not eat seafood that is not battered (sigh). He loves pasta and chicken but it seems most of the pasta dishes listed have seafood in them. Can he get chicken instead do you think? I would think so as it would be cheaper for them.

yeah i wonder this too, i dont like seafood either and it's always seafood in the pasta dishes. i have seem it sometimes on the menu.

I think it would depend on whether the sauce was already made up or not. I thik some of the seafood pastas have sauce which contains it rather than just putting it on top like chicken usually is. I think you could probably get a non-seafood version in some places but not sure if you could get it substituted with chicken as it would depend what type of chicken is on the menu for example if they were only serving chicken on a bone (like the Rose & Crown in EPCOT has a chicken breast with a bone bit on the end) then obviously this might not be a good substititute. You would need to ask at the resturant

I've had 2 different pasta dishes, one at Garden View Cafe - and I can't remember where the other one was - they were more than happy to substitute chicken for the shrimp. It wasn't part of the sauce, just an addition to the pasta.

The only place I've ever asked them to do this is at Sci-Fi (which is kinda odd, if you think of it). I love the shrimp penne pasta, but I'm allergic to shellfish. The first time, I asked if they could just do it without the shrimp. I had to explain about my allergy, meet the chef and all the rest, but they ended up suggesting I add chicken to it. The chef said I needed protein after walking around in the park all day. Now I just ask for chicken and it's never been a problem.
