I don't like coleslaw or baked beans, but all the meals seem to come with it at Flame Tree. Am I able to substitute those out for something else? I'd take anything.. fruit, french fries, onion rings, whatever.

I also don't like beans or coleslaw but when I asked to substitute, I was told I could not :furious: That was several years ago so I am not sure if it still applies :confused3

I did just find some recent reviews where others were saying they couldn't substitute but, what about if I told them I just don't want the beans and coleslaw. Will they take the 2 dollars off the price like I know you can do at other disney restaurants if you don't want the sides? Cause then I'd just order a side of fries or something and only pay a dollar or so extra instead of 3.

I have substituted both times I have eaten there when I had the pulled pork sandwich. I was able to get grapes though they also offered me beans and fries.

At most restaurants you can usually you can substitute a side for a differentside that is listed on another entree or for one of the sides on the children's menu. You cannot substitute for a side or accompaniment on the menu that has a separate price point. Being offered fries as a substitute at Flame Tree is unusual and many have said they weren't able to because it has a separate price point.

When we ate there in March the best we could do was sub for two coleslaws instead of baked beans. They told us we could not sub fries due to the fact that they cost more. I'm not sure if you could just altogether forgo the sides and get a discount, but that would be great because we did not need the sides!

We were allowed to substitute with coleslaw, beans, grapes, or cookies. Fries were not allowed because they are a different price point. We were just there at the first of this month.

Well, grapes and a cookie will work if I can't get the $2 off. Thanks!

. . . what about if I told them I just don't want the beans and coleslaw. Will they take the 2 dollars off the price . . .

1) No.
2) Beans and Slaw are not worth $2.
3) As above, you can sub sides that are not priced separately.
4) But, also as above. fries would be out since they are higher priced.

NOTE: As I remember, you can sub grapes OR cookies, not both.
