Subbing the person with the FP

Is it necessary to actually give the MB with the FP to the person riding or can you tap them in at the first touch point?

What happens if they don't have the "live" MB and get to a second touch point down the line?

We have a group of 8 with FPs for FOP at three different times!

I don’t know what happens, but at all the FP rides we went on last week- you had to touch twice, at the beginning and at the end. I assume its to prevent people from sneaking onto the FP line?

There is an hour window for the FP time, so hopefully some of your ride times overlap. We were able to get into line about 10 minutes early.

You can go to customer services- maybe they will help coordinate your times if there is an open slot for FOP but I don’t know if they do that or not. FP for that ride is usually fully maxed out for the day. But if you all have existing FP, they may do it. I’ve found them willing to help try to make your day a little more magical in certain situations. Luckily, the FP wait isn’t too long if you have to go on at different times.

Are the times overlapping? For example: Group 1 9:00-10:00 Group 2 9:30-10:30 and Group 3 10:00-11:00 Have everyone meet at 10:00...the last hour of the first FP group, and ride then. If they are a few minutes late, you'll be good because you have that 15 minute grace period for after the FP.

The FPs are not overlapping. Basically at 10, 1 and 4. I am stalking like a crazy person with an auto-refresh browser plug-in. It has helped to obtain the FP which were not available due to a "quirk.

I was able to book for the three with non-expiring tickets at 60 days. The other five didn't show as having tickets until hours after the booking window opened. Stalking has added the other FPs, I split the us into 3 and 2 instead of 5 so we will have lots of visits to Pandora during our AK day.

We will just swap MBs and pay OOP for the adult beverages that will be consumed during the swapping

I think what the OP was trying to do is give someone his time slot and then use his MB for charging privileges while waiting - hence the need to keep his MB with him.

If that's the case, the OP just needs to carry a credit card that day. (Hence, the "pay OOP" reference.)

The groupings are not how we will be riding and one person might not want to ride. We'll make sure the MB with FP goes with the person riding. Times are 9 am, 1 pm and 6 pm. Hoping to consolidate!

The original concern is with making MB purchases while some of the group rides. I thought if you can just tap your band then let someone else ride then everyone can keep their bands. We'll bring a credit card or cash. I understand now the person riding needs the band with the FP.

The other free option is to bring an MB from a previous trip assigned to you, if you have one. Give the person riding that one. We do that with our girls all the time (one won't ride thrill rides and the other benefits).
