I do wonder if some of the latest unlocking systems, keys and remotes have gone too far. My neighbor had a remote starter on her Tahoe and twice set her purse down and triggered the starter, and her truck sat idling all night in the driveway, thank God it wasn't in the garage.
I have a Tahoe and cant imagine how this can happen once yet twice.
Not disclaiming what youre saying but to remote start my SUV I have to press the lock button twice then hit the start button all while in pretty close proximity to my vehicle.
Not an easy task . Maybe there is something wrong with your neighbors remote start.
