has anyone actually used the Club 33 offer that Stan offer if you book with them? Is there any catch to that? It would be a dream come true if we get to go to Club 33 since we live in California!! :cool1:

I think the catch to it would be for the member. It is a serious violation of Club 33 rules to use your Club 33 membership as a way TO GET clients. It's perfectly acceptable to use it for your clients. But GETTING clients BECAUSE of the club is a violation that, were the club to find out about it, would probably result in the revocation of that membership.

Rule number 2.14.2 states that:

"Club 33 Members may not at any time (themselves or through their family members, authorized callers, friends or others) sell, barter, auction (charitable or otherwise, despite a donation to a charity), lease, loan or otherwise receive compensation in exchange for either reservations to Club 33 or complimentary admission tickets into Disneyland Park or Disney's California Adventure Park. If this rule is violated, the Member's Club 33 membership will be terminated immediately. Members will be held responsible for the actions of others acting, or appearing to act, on the Club Member's behalf, in the sale, barter, auction, lease, or loan of Club 33 reservations or complimentary Park admission tickets. Members will not be given a warning or a second chance."

I'm not sure if Stan is a member. He does have some type of serious connection though I guess.
I had asked him about it because I didn't know what it was and I was told that even if we get out there years after our wedding he should be able to get us in. But again, I don't think it's a member thing, perhaps just a business connection?

In any case I don't think he's using the Club 33 thing to entice or "bribe" new business from couples. Plus I don't know if any couple would choose their wedding videographer based on getting a meal in a private club, but who knows?

It's perfectly acceptable to use it for your clients.

That's basically what Stan does, so since it's acceptable, it shouldn't be a problem with the Rules of membership.

It is not acceptable. If this isn't advertising and using Club 33 as an enticement to get business, then what is it? I have no problem with sending clients to the club. I do have a problem with using Club 33 TO GET business, to prominently highlight the club in connection with getting business. For example, one could set up a camera outside Disneyland resort with a sign saying "Pictures and Club 33 Reservations with Complimentary Parkhopper Passes." You're using your Club membership and the Club 33 name as a marketing tool to attract business, which is against the rules. I can't donate a Club 33 reservation to a charity because of the same rule. And here someone is using it for pure profit.

I really don't think he uses that to "Bribe" people either. I think it's actually very generous of him to offer his membership to his clients which is acceptable. And I am pretty sure most of use who book him is because of his work not because of the club 33 offer.

I completely agree with MagicKingdomBoy. A website of this nature is specifically intended to attract new clients and promote the services provided by the company. Taken in context with the rest of the site it becomes glaringly obvious that the reason they mention this perk is to entice people to use their services over other competitors. If it was just something special for their own existing clientele then they'd put it in an email to each new client.
