Stupid?

I think that it's annoying. Last year, my brother's elementary school singing thing had to do equal representation of Christmas, Hannuka, and Kwanza. There is not one person who celebrates Kwanza at the school. People have to realize that the vast majority in this country celebrate Christmas. If someone said Happy Hanukah to me, even though I celebrate Christmas, I would be happy. They wished my happiness. You don't take it further. I just say Merry Christmas, and if I know someone celebrates something different, I say Happy Holidays. It's as simple as that for me.
At Disney, they just say Happy Holidays to everyone. I think it's kind of ironic because it's Christmas decorations everywhere there except for a couple of World Showcase countries. I think they have a little Hannukah booth set up in the USA pavilion.

who cares what gets said? who cars if the majority celebrates this or that? its not just one holiday, its 3 holidays. if you don't know what someone celebrates then you say happy holidays, if you know then you say "happy ...." whatever holiday applies to that person. i don't see what the big deal is

when i was in elementary, we werent allowed to have a christmas, halloween, or easter party because was one (and im not lying) kid who loved xmas but his family didnt so they complained. now, there are 600+ in the school and 1 family doesnt do xmas so the school had to get rid of those parties! and get this, this happened 6 years ago and the kid is now in highschool and the school still doesnt celebrate any holidays!:sad2:

I believe people should be able to say whatever they want to say. If you want to say Merry Christmas, more power to you. If you want to say Happy Holidays, knock yourself out. This whole polictically correct/incorrect has been blown way out of proportion.

That's how it is in my school.
We arent even allowed to celebrate birthdays anymore because his religion doesnt support them.
It's a huge mess I think.
You can't make everyone happy.

we have valintines discos, xmas pantos, parties nd singing, we sing happy b'day to people and we have Easter asemmblies. We also have assemblies on other faiths though

In the Times today they had this big thing. It was about how people are saying Happy holidays instead of merry christmas to be 'policatlly correct' . Also how they did a survey and only 1 in 50 xmas cards had something chrsitmasy on. Then they went on to say how stupid it was, i agree it is pretty stupid

What do you think? :artist: :wave2:
you think thats stupid? What about Walmart?

They told their employees that greet people at the door to look at the person and decide whether to tell them Merry Christmas, Happy Hanuaka(I can't spell, im sorry), Happy Kwanza, and so forth. I mean, how can you tell what religion a person is by looking at them?

^ That's horrible.

I usually say Merry Christmas to my friends. Some of them aren't Christians, and told me they don't care what's said.

If I'm talking to a stranger you'll hear
"Happy Holidays!"

come out of my mouth.

My siggy also says happy holidays.
I want everyone on the DIS to have a great December season, and a healthy new year.

Not everyone on the the DIS celebrates Christmas. I kinda wanted my signiture to morph to everyone's needs.

Technically, if you think about it.. Christmas is like President's Day, or Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We're honouring the birth of someone famous in history. It only has to be thought of as a religious aspect from Christians.

Would you get insulted if I said Happy Martin Luther King Day to you if you weren't black?
Are you insulted if I say "Happy President's Day" if you're not into polotics?
