I have a small sony w/ basically no zoom. Now, I want zoom.

I'm thinking about buying a new camera, but w/ my schedule I would have NO time to learn it before we leave on Saturday. (except a 12 hour car ride!)

Is this stupid of me? Do I need zoom in Disney?

I bought a brand-new digital camera 3 days before we left.... I had a 2.2 megapixel Kodak easyshare and decided to upgrade for clearer pics just before our trip last December.... I learned it on the plane :) and the pics came out awesome!!!! GL with your decision!!!!

Go ahead & get the new camera. In 2004, I had a 15 hour car ride to read the instruction manual for my new camera. It was 9:45 p.m. the nite before we were leaving on our trip & I dropped my camera on the kitchen floor. I wanted to send my husband to Target for a new one but they close at 10:00 so when we left the next morning, we stopped at a Target on the way. The pictures turned out fine.

Yes get a new camera! You will not be sorry. If you get one with just the few features, you can learn it quickly. I love zoom. Even though there is so much beauty to capture at WDW, the close ups of you and the kids and the ch.s will be worth it!

I second the Kodak easyshare!

Get the new camera. Most of them are point and shoot. I am a spaz and figured out our new camera (okay, most of our camera) in a few mins. And the photo quality is a million times better! We had a 1.2 MP with no zoom (I feel your pain). We switched to a 4. something with a 3x zoom and a video thing...WOW! Totally glad we did that...I dont know how to use the fancy stuff, but it still takes kickin' photos. Point and shoot!

HMMMMMMMM - I got a new camera around Christmas time and I STILL don't know how to use all the features.... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: but I can still take great pictures with it.

I got a Kodak Easy Share 5.0 megapixels. For the most part it is just aim and click, but there are a lot of bells and whistles that I just haven't sat down to learn.

Good Luck and have great trip!
