has anyone gotten a code who hasn't previously stayed on-site. just curious if this is a perk of staying on-site.

My mom got a 40% code when she requested the free planning DVD. She has never stayed before. We were the ones actually planning the trip, but had lost our DVD. We have never received a code.

I got several postcard pin codes before I wised up and starting staying on site, and now I go several times a year and very rarely get them. When people starting posting about the 40% off code recently I was very excited to discover an email offering the code, until I realized it was in my sister's name (she went with me the last time I went).

Last February was my very first trip to Disney and because it was a very last minute trip I was unable to book the whole week at a Disney resort and decided to stay elsewhere. After staying three nights off site we found that it didn't have the Disney feel and weren't very happy. I called Disney and was able to get a room for 2 nights at Pop Century. We loved being on site. We had a car and were able to park for free at the parks and at the resort. We were paying to park at both before. That ran us about $25 per day for both. Unfortunately we couldn't get anymore nights at Pop, but there was availability at Coronado Springs, so we moved yet again. We LOVED Coronado Springs. We are going back this October and are staying at Caribbean Beach. I will always stay in Disney from now on. I just love the Disney "feel".
